The day before we were to leave their Grandma (in Colorado) called to let us know that they were forecasted to get 6-12 inches of snow the next day. Luckily Roger had the day off and we were able to leave within the hour. We got to Colorado about 8 pm and picked up the boys. Roger and I were exhausted so we decided to stop for the night and head out early in the morning. By the time we were ready to leave there was already a couple inches of snow and nobody (smart) was going any faster than 20-30 miles per hour on the freeway. A couple of hours into our drive we decided to stop and get some lunch. This is what our door's and tires looked like.
This is my door. The black thing in the top left corner is my handle. The ice was just in balls frozen together.

This is our tire. The boys asked if we could keep the decorations. Unfortunately the ice just wont last that long. But it was pretty cool to look at.
